Tragedy struck in the Mbagassina Subdivision of the Mbam and Kim Division in the Center Region of Cameroon when a fight broke out between two brothers over a 13-year-old girl, resulting in the death of one of them.

The incident, which occurred last weekend, only gained attention days later due to the absence of connectivity in the area.

According to local sources, the deceased brother claimed that the girl was his girlfriend and had suspected his sibling of having an inappropriate relationship with her due to their close bond.

A witness named Gildas revealed that the conflict escalated after one of the brothers searched for the girl but found her in the company of his sibling.

An argument ensued, and in a fit of rage, one brother retrieved a machete and attacked the other. In self-defense, the other brother grabbed a knife and fatally injured his assailant.

Both brothers suffered severe injuries, but the one who was stabbed in the chest tragically lost his life on the spot.

The incident highlights a disturbing conflict that arose from a disagreement over a young girl, leading to devastating consequences for the family involved.
