Nigerian pilgrims in Saudi Arabia frustrated by inadequate feeding and lack of basic amenities despite paying N2.8 million for hajj

In Medina, Saudi Arabia, a number of Muslim pilgrims from Adamawa, Zamfara, and Bauchi States are currently feeling dissatisfied due to the alleged failure of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) to provide them with food and bed spaces.

Despite paying N2,890,000 to NAHCON, these pilgrims claim that they have not been provided with proper accommodation or sufficient meals.

Among the affected states, Adamawa alone has 2,457 pilgrims who have made the payment for this year’s Hajj.

A concerned pilgrim stated that NAHCON is responsible for the provision of meals and accommodation throughout the pilgrims’ stay in Medina, but the services have been inadequate.

The pilgrims are urging the chairman of NAHCON to intervene to prevent any potential unrest in the Holy Land.
