First Lady pays condolence visit to Yar’Adua’s family

AGS NEWS – First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, visited former First Lady Hajia Turai Yar’Adua on Monday to offer condolences following the passing of her mother-in-law, Dada Yar’Adua.

Accompanied by the wife of the Vice President, Nana Shettima, and other dignitaries, Tinubu praised the late Dada Yar’Adua as a “successful and fulfilled” woman, noting the legacy of the children she raised.

In a statement by her media aide, Busola Kukoyi, Tinubu encouraged Turai to emulate Dada’s strength and continue her family’s legacy. She also expressed gratitude for Turai’s support, despite their differing political affiliations.

Hajia Turai Yar’Adua described her late mother-in-law as both a friend and sister, appreciating the visit as a source of comfort. Nana Shettima prayed for the departed and the family.

Dada Yar’Adua, mother of late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua and General Shehu Musa Yar’Adua, passed away on September 2, 2024, at 102.
