AGS NEWS – Air Peace has denied involvement in the arrest of Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) President Joe Ajaero.
Ajaero was detained by the Department of State Services at Abuja’s Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport while en route to the UK.
Air Peace issued a statement, signed by spokesperson Omotade Makinwa, dismissing reports linking the arrest to a petition filed by the airline.

The airline clarified that although it submitted a petition over a year ago regarding NLC’s disruption of its operations, it had since resolved the issue with the NLC and withdrew the complaint.
The airline expressed concern over the negative publicity resulting from these reports.
Makinwa added that Air Peace was not involved in the dispute between the NLC and the Imo State Government, which initially led to the disruption of its services.
The airline emphasized that relations with the NLC are now positive.
