Tragic! Truck driver slumps and dies in Ogun state

A truck driver, identified as Johnson Samson, reportedly collapsed inside the cabin of his truck on Monday at the Dangote Agro Sack Area, located at the Dangote Cement Plant in Ibese, Ogun State.

Samson, affiliated with Dangote Cement Transport in Ibese, was later declared dead by a doctor who attended to him.

Samson had earlier expressed feeling unwell to a colleague named Oharisi and had requested some time to rest.

Concerned about his weakened condition, Samson was advised to take a break inside his parked truck at the agro sack area of the Ibese factory.

As minutes passed without Samson’s return, apprehension among his colleagues grew, prompting them to dispatch another colleague to check on him.

The driver was discovered unconscious inside the cabin of his truck.

Upon making the discovery, the colleagues promptly alerted others and rushed Samson to Jaji Clinic, Dangote Ibese, where medical staff pronounced him dead.

The Ogun State Police Command spokesperson, Omolola Odutola, confirmed the incident on Tuesday, stating that no signs of foul play were evident after examining the body.

She said, “The body was examined by our men. We didn’t discover any violence or foul play. The body has been deposited at the state hospital morgue for postmortem examination.”
