Rotimi Akeredolu, the Governor of Ondo State, has expressed his determination to complete his term in office. After a three-month medical absence in Germany, Governor Akeredolu officially resumed his duties on September 8th.
Upon his return to Nigeria on September 7th, the governor held a meeting with various stakeholders from the state, including Olamide Oladiji, the Speaker of the Assembly, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, the Deputy Governor, and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at his residence in Ibadan.
During this gathering, Akeredolu handed over his resumption letter to Oladiji and provided a copy to Aiyedatiwa.

Governor Akeredolu expressed his gratitude to those who prayed for his recovery and return, emphasizing that he had returned in response to the majority of the people’s wishes and prayers.
He affirmed his commitment to serving out his full term, which concludes in February 2025.
“I am back, and by the grace of God, I will be alive to complete my full tenure in office. I want to tell you that I am back, and I will resume work immediately. This is my letter of resumption,” Akeredolu stated.
In June, Akeredolu had traveled to Germany for medical treatment, during which he requested his deputy to act in his absence.
