Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara has taken a significant step towards enhancing service delivery by signing an executive order to reduce the number of state ministries from 28 to 16.

The announcement was made by the Director General of Media and Communication in the governor’s office, Malam Nuhu Anka.

The governor emphasized the need to restructure government ministries, agencies, departments, and parastatals to streamline operations, minimize redundancy, and optimize functionality.

He further emphasized the appointment of individuals with proven integrity and a strong work ethic to lead the ministries, with the aim of fostering enhanced governance and development in the state.

The governor’s administration sees this restructuring as part of its larger mission to bring about positive change, create more opportunities, and generate employment for the people of Zamfara.
