Following an intelligence report, EFCC apprehended Eke along with 24 other suspected internet fraudsters at Kurudu Phase 5 in Abuja.

The court ruled that Eke, also known as Kelvin James, had falsely presented himself as a white man and a Trading Manager on Facebook to deceive unsuspecting victims in love scams.

In addition to the prison sentence, Eke was given the option to pay a fine of N150,000 and had his iPhone 14 Pro Max forfeited to the Federal Government.
