House of representatives labels Nigeria air launch as fraudulent

The House of Representatives has strongly criticized the alleged introduction of Nigeria Air during the final days of former President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration, labeling it as fraudulent.

The Chairman of the House Committee on Aviation, Nnolim Nnaji, denounced the purported launch after key parties involved, including the Federal Government and Ethiopian Airlines, denied any knowledge of the event.

In response to the allegations, the Ministry of Aviation argued that Nigeria Air was merely unveiled and not officially launched.

However, the committee dismissed this explanation as an attempt to divert their attention away from the matter.

During the proceedings, members of the committee were taken aback when the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) disclosed that an aircraft adorned with Nigerian colors was en route to Nigeria on a chartered flight.

Additional stakeholders affirmed this revelation and emphasized that a chartered flight could be painted with any color or markings, thereby casting doubt on the authenticity of the so-called Nigeria Air launch.
