AGS NEWS – Ann Mayers, aged 74, has been arrested and charged after allegedly robbing an Ohio credit union at gunpoint last week, on April 19.
Relatives suggest that Mayers, a victim of an online scam, may have resorted to the robbery to alleviate her financial struggles.

Facing charges of aggravated robbery with a firearm and tampering with evidence, Mayers allegedly discarded her clothing out of her car window on her way home after the robbery.
If convicted, she could face up to 15 years in prison.
Currently held on a $100,000 bond, Mayers awaits her initial court appearance without legal representation.

Police arrested her shortly after the robbery at her Hamilton home, where they found a handgun believed to have been used in the robbery.
During questioning, Mayers reportedly confessed to the robbery, stating, “I did whatever you’re here for,” as captured in bodycam footage. She allegedly walked away from the bank with $500.
Authorities are investigating claims that Mayers was a scam victim, with relatives suggesting she had been sending money to an unidentified individual.
