The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has denounced the online assaults targeted at Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi.
In an official statement, the NFF expressed disapproval of the vicious attacks against Iwobi, citing his longstanding commitment and service to the national team.

“Alex Iwobi does not deserve these attacks. He has demonstrated unwavering dedication and a commendable work ethic throughout his tenure with the national team.
We cannot overlook the significant contributions he has made, such as his pivotal goal against Zambia in Uyo that secured Nigeria’s qualification for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia,” the statement read.
The NFF emphasized Iwobi’s status as the seventh most-capped Nigerian footballer in history, with 76 international appearances, highlighting his unquestionable loyalty and devotion to representing Nigeria.
