Jigawa State Police Command operatives have apprehended three notorious car thieves and successfully recovered three stolen vehicles, including one belonging to Dr. Abdullahi Dogo, a Technical Adviser to the Governor of Jigawa State.
Assistant spokesperson of the command, ASP Abubakar Isah, revealed this information in a statement released on Monday, December 11, 2023.
The statement outlined the circumstances leading to the arrests, citing a report from Dr. Abdullahi Dogo who had parked his Toyota Corolla vehicle at Yantifa market in Dutse LGA.

Upon returning, he discovered the vehicle, along with valuable items, was missing. Prompt action by the Dutse Division police, based on credible intelligence, led to the detection of a suspicious movement involving a FAW VITA vehicle.
On the instructions of the Divisional Police Officer, a patrol team cordoned the area, resulting in the arrest of Abdullahi Sani and Faruk Adamu. Subsequent searches revealed nine different master keys, various plate numbers, and mechanic tools in their possession.
The suspects confessed to being car thieves, admitting to stealing the Toyota Corolla mentioned earlier.
Further investigation exposed their boss, identified as Abubakar aka Dan-fulani, residing in Kano.
The Police, with the authority of CP AT ABDULLAHI psc, instructed the Divisional Police Officer of Dutse Division to take action against the criminals at large.

On November 22, 2023, Dan-Fulani (Muhammed Sani) was arrested in Kano, leading to the recovery of the stolen motor vehicle along with another suspected stolen Toyota Corolla.
