Nigerian singer Ahmed Ololade, popularly known as Asake, has opened up about his journey to joining the YBNL Nation record label, revealing that he spent nearly two years persuading ace rapper and YBNL Nation CEO, Olamide, to sign him.
The ‘Mr Money’ artist shared that Olamide eventually invited him to his residence and asked if he would be interested in joining the record label.

Despite his excitement, Olamide advised Asake to consult with a lawyer and carefully review the contract terms. However, Asake, overwhelmed with enthusiasm, signed the contract immediately.
In an interview with Hip TV, Asake recounted the pivotal moment, stating, “Before he [Olamide] signed me, I’ve been begging Baddo [Olamide] since 2020 to sign me. One day, I got to his house, then he asked me… This part burst my head.
This is how he signed me. He said, ‘How are you, Asake?’ I said I’m fine. And he asked me, ‘Would you like to join YBNL?’”
Expressing his admiration for Olamide and the YBNL family, Asake emphasized his eagerness to join without the need for legal advice.
