Chelsea legend Didier Drogba has extended congratulations to Victor Osimhen and Asisat Oshoala for their triumphs at the Confederation of African Football awards 2023.

Drogba celebrated their victories by sharing photos of Osimhen and Oshoala on his Instagram account on Tuesday.

In his post, Drogba wrote, “Long live the new King and Queen of Africa #victorosimhen9 #asisat_oshoala #caf_online.

Osimhen, the Super Eagles striker, secured the Player of the Year title, overcoming tough competition from Morocco and PSG defender Achraf Hakimi and Egypt and Liverpool forward Mo Salah.

This victory marks Nigeria’s first Player of the Year title in 24 years.
