In Babura Local Government Area of Jigawa State, the Police Command has apprehended three individuals suspected of theft involving a sheep.
According to a statement released on Friday, November 10, 2023, by the command’s spokesperson, DSP Lawan Shiisu Adam, the suspects were accused of stealing a sheep from the residence of Mustapha Dahiru in Baskwar village.

The statement reported, “On 05/11/2023 at about 0830hrs, one Mustapha Dahiru, 27 years old, of Baskwar village in Babura LGA, reported at the station that, on the same date at about 0330hrs, unknown persons trespassed into his house and stole away his sheep.”
Upon receiving the report, patrol officers were dispatched to investigate the incident.
Isah Musa, 20 years old, Sa’idu Bello, 21 years old, both from Baskwar village in Babura LGA, and Ibrahim Muhammad, 18 years old, from Gidan Mutum Daya village in Katsina state, were apprehended in possession of the stolen sheep.

The suspects were then taken to the Divisional Crime Branch (DCB) for further investigation.
During the inquiry process, the individuals admitted to conspiring and unlawfully entering the complainant’s residence to steal the sheep.
