Teenager strangled as man invades Ondo school during exam

A man known as Oke Loya has been apprehended by the Ondo State Police Command for allegedly murdering a teenager, Timibra Meretighan, in the Arogbo community of Ondo State.

The incident occurred while Meretighan, a 17-year-old student, and his classmates were taking an exam at Ijaw National High School in Arogbo.

The suspect forcefully entered the school premises and began chasing the students out of the classroom. During the chaos, he allegedly strangled Meretighan to death.

The school principal promptly reported the incident to the police. The State Police Public Relations Officer, Funmilayo Odunlami, confirmed the arrest and stated that an investigation is underway.

According to Odunlami, the suspect, who took shelter at the school security gate during the rain, claimed that the students had insulted him, calling him a madman.
