Former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose, asserted on Thursday that he would not hesitate to speak out against President Bola Tinubu if he fails to fulfill his campaign pledges.
Fayose, speaking to State House Correspondents after a meeting with the President at the Aso Rock Villa in Abuja, emphasized that he is not timid and will hold Tinubu accountable.
Nevertheless, Fayose acknowledged that Tinubu has performed well since assuming office and should be supported.
He urged Nigerians to unite behind the President, who he believes is determined and prepared to tackle the nation’s challenges.
Fayose, alongside other opposition party leaders such as Seyi Makinde and Nyesom Wike, is working with Tinubu, but he affirmed his loyalty to the Peoples Democratic Party and stated that he will never join the All Progressives Congress.
Fayose emphasized that his support for the President does not prevent him from criticizing him if necessary.
