UNILAG undergraduate fatally shot dead over stolen phone

In a tragic incident, a young undergraduate named Adekunle, who was studying at the University of Lagos, was fatally shot by armed robbers on Harvey Road, Moore Road Junction in Yaba, Lagos.

Adekunle and his fellow student, Opeyemi, were traveling together in a shuttle bus from Yaba to UNILAG when a man hanging at the back of the bus snatched Opeyemi’s iPhone 7 Plus.

Distressed by the theft, Opeyemi raised an alarm, prompting Adekunle to chase after the robber who fled from the bus.

The University of Lagos declined to provide immediate comments on the incident, directing inquiries to their Dean of Students Affairs.
