Atiku mocks Festus Keyamo’s law degree as court dismisses suit: “Throw it into the dustbin”

Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has ridiculed Festus Keyamo’s law degree following Keyamo’s recent defeat at the Federal High Court in Abuja.

Phrank Shaibu, Atiku’s Special Assistant on Public Communication, made the remark in Abuja, suggesting that Keyamo should discard his law degree as it holds no value.

Prior to the 2023 general elections, Keyamo had submitted a petition to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB), and other anti-graft agencies, calling for the arrest and prosecution of Atiku on allegations of money laundering during his time as Vice President under President Olusegun Obasanjo.

In response, Shaibu stated that Keyamo hastily filed a lawsuit against the agencies before waiting for their action, revealing Keyamo’s eagerness to please his paymasters.

However, on Monday, Justice James Omotosho dismissed Keyamo’s suit due to incompetence and imposed a fine of N10 million on Keyamo.
