Phyna Sparks Reactions Over President Tinubu’s Visit to Benue Attack Victims

Reality TV star Phyna has stirred controversy online following her reaction to President Bola Tinubu’s recent visit to Yelwata community in Benue State, which was recently attacked by suspected herdsmen, leaving over 200 people dead.

During the visit, President Tinubu was seen meeting with some victims receiving treatment in a hospital.

However, Phyna questioned the authenticity of the visit, suggesting the photos may have been doctored.

In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter), the BBNaija winner wrote:
“There were no victims in Yelewata, they were all killed and burnt alive. Who are those in the hospital that the President went to visit standing on a red rug? Why are you doing a photoshop to make us angrier? Nigeria has failed us.”

Her comments have sparked mixed reactions on social media.

  • @legalyz: “There were victims, do not say what you do not know.”
  • @TheDecapitator: “You won chase clout again with Benue matter?”
  • @Mrprosper: “We are doomed. Everything about this government is fake.”
  • @Agatha/SMM: “It’s so sad and annoying.”
  • @Tessy October: “Of course there were victims. Some survived earlier attacks even before Yelwata.”

President Tinubu’s visit aimed to show solidarity with affected communities, but the reaction online reflects growing public frustration and skepticism surrounding government responses to violent attacks.
