AGS NEWS – The Cross River State Police Command has arrested Mathias Amunde for allegedly killing his mother in the Obudu Local Government Area.

In a video shared on Instagram by @isaacfayoseoriginal, Amunde admitted during police interrogation that he and an accomplice, identified as Walcot, used a stick to attack his mother. They then dragged her body and disposed of it in a well.

Amunde revealed that his accomplice fled the scene after the act. He explained in Pidgin English, now translated: “Walcot and I killed her with a stick. Afterward, we dragged her body to the well and threw it in.”

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Irene Ugbo, confirmed the arrest and stated that the case would be transferred to the command’s headquarters for further investigation.
