Fuel hike: Abia residents lament soaring cost of living 

AGS NEWS – Residents of Abia have expressed frustration over the increasing hardship following a fuel price hike from N1,150 to N1,300 per litre.

The rising costs have worsened transportation expenses and food prices, leaving many struggling to cope.

Local driver Uchenna Maduka lamented the high fuel prices, noting that drivers cannot make ends meet. Taxi driver Patrick Okeh echoed this, saying passengers bear the brunt of the price hike due to fuel scarcity.

Workers like Joan Eche and Ngozi Jude are skipping workdays to save on transport costs, while traders, including meat seller Okezie Ndudim, reported reduced sales as families cut back on buying food.
