AGS NEWS – The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has acquired a Cessna Grand Caravan EX-208B aircraft to boost its air patrol and surveillance capabilities. Comptroller-General Adewale Adeniyi announced the development in a statement from the NCS spokesman, Abdullahi Maiwada, in Abuja.
Adeniyi described the aircraft as a “game changer” in combating smuggling, equipped with a modern Garmin G 1000 cockpit system for day, night, and low-visibility operations.

The aircraft, which can carry ten officers and stay airborne for six hours, is expected to enhance border security and support ground operations.
Powered by a PT6 Pratt and Whitney engine, it offers rugged versatility and cost-efficiency, further strengthening the NCS’s efforts against illegal activities.
