JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon has not endorsed former President Donald Trump, the company clarified on Friday, after Trump falsely claimed the endorsement on social media.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump inaccurately stated that Dimon had endorsed him for the 2024 presidential election.
However, JPMorgan spokesperson Joe Evangelisti told CBS News that Dimon has not endorsed any candidate.
The false claim originated from a verified account on X (formerly Twitter) and quickly spread among Trump supporters.
Dimon, who previously backed Nikki Haley during the Republican primaries, has made no public statements supporting Trump.
This follows another incident where Trump falsely claimed endorsements, including AI-generated images suggesting pop star Taylor Swift’s support.
