FIFA to unveil Club World Cup venues Saturday

AGS NEWS – FIFA is set to announce the venues and stadiums for the 2025 Club World Cup in the United States on Saturday, according to a statement made on Friday.

The expanded tournament will feature 32 leading clubs from around the world and will run from June 15 to July 13, 2025.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino will make the announcement at Central Park during the Global Citizen Festival, a music event focused on poverty eradication.

European teams like Real Madrid, Manchester City, and Bayern Munich have already qualified, along with South American clubs such as River Plate, Boca Juniors, and Flamengo.

The tournament, however, has faced opposition from FIFPro, the global players’ union, and the European Leagues body, who have raised concerns about player workload and the already congested match schedule.

Club World Cup matches are expected to be held primarily on the East Coast, though Seattle Sounders may host a game on the West Coast.

The tournament coincides with the regional CONCACAF Gold Cup, which will also take place in the U.S. The country will also co-host the 2026 FIFA World Cup with Mexico and Canada.
