AGS NEWS – A driver was arrested in the Brega area of Libya for attempting to smuggle two undocumented female migrants from Nigeria.

According to Migrant Rescue Watch, officers from the Criminal Investigation Department intercepted the trio on Tuesday, September 3, 2024.

During interrogation, the driver admitted to transporting the women from Houn to Benghazi for financial gain, charging 700 LYD (about 150 USD) per person.

The case has been referred to the public prosecution in Ajdabiya for legal action.
