AGS NEWS – Former House of Representatives member Lanre Laoshe has repaid his N1,200 student loan from 1976-1979 with a sum of N3,189,217.00 to the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), according to a statement released on Tuesday.

The repayment was calculated using historical exchange rates from the Central Bank of Nigeria, reflecting the current equivalent of the loan.

Laoshe expressed his gratitude for the financial support he received during his education and made the repayment as a token of appreciation to the Federal Government.

NELFUND commended Laoshe’s gesture, describing it as an example of the lasting impact of government support and the importance of honoring commitments.
