The government also urged parents and guardians to follow prescribed dosages to avoid complications and warned against selling the drugs for personal gain.

The state has introduced free feeding and transportation for patients, including newly registered ones, to improve access to treatment.

This initiative has contributed to a significant reduction in the number of people with mental illnesses in the state.

Dr. Shamsudeen Isma’il, the hospital’s Consultant Psychiatrist, assured that the available drugs would cover the treatment period for the patients.
