AGS NEWS – The Ogun State Government has begun disbursing N500 million in soft loans to artisans and traders across the state.
Governor Dapo Abiodun, who had previously announced the initiative, stated that the loan program, called “Oko’wo Irinse Dapo,” would be rolled out within 30 days after finalizing the distribution process.
Governor Abiodun highlighted that this move fulfills his 2022 promise to provide financial support to local artisans.

He has instructed the Commissioners for Finance, Trade, Investment, Community Development, and Cooperative to ensure the loan is distributed promptly.
In addition to the loans, the governor also announced the distribution of grants and subventions to various community development associations and committees across Ogun State.
Over 200 Community Development Associations will receive grants ranging from N200,000 to N5 million.
437 Area Development Committees, 20 Zonal Development Committees, and three Senatorial Community Development Committees will receive subventions and administrative grants.
