AGS NEWS – Operatives of the Special Tactical Squad have arrested a 30-year-old woman, Hauwa Yusuf, for concealing an AK-47 rifle and four magazines inside a sack of garri.

The Nigeria Police Force spokesperson, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, revealed that Yusuf was apprehended during a stop-and-search operation on the Abuja-Kaduna Expressway.

Yusuf confessed that a notorious bandit in Katsina State, Aminu Basullube, had instructed her to deliver the arms to a camp in the state.

Yusuf claimed she was unaware of the contents of the sack, stating she was paid ₦130,000 to transport it, believing it contained millet.

In a related case, Adejobi mentioned that another suspect, Musa Saidu, was arrested in Oyo State after investigations revealed he had become a cattle rustler.

Saidu confessed to using his criminal proceeds to buy motorcycles and cattle, after falling victim to rustling himself.

He was arrested after returning to his village in Kaduna to spend the money he had made from his crimes.
