AGS NEWS – The Oyo State Anti-Corruption Agency (OYACA) announced on Thursday the conviction of a local government worker for the illegal sale of land belonging to the State Housing Corporation.
Adesina Olanrewaju Oyegoke, an Assistant Chief Executive Officer in the Estate Department of Lagelu Local Government, Ibadan, was sentenced to three months in prison on charges of official corruption under the OYACA Law 2019.

The judgment, delivered on August 14, 2024, by Magistrate O.A Akande at Special Court 8, Iyaganku, found Oyegoke guilty on all three counts.
In a statement signed by OYACA’s Executive Secretary, I.O Tijani, on behalf of Chairman Honorable Justice Eni Esan (retd.), the agency warned civil servants against engaging in corrupt practices, emphasizing that such actions harm the state’s development and tarnish its reputation.
