AGS NEWS – In a notable event during the Paris 2024 Olympics, the Lagos State Sports Commission hosted the Lagos Paris Olympics 2024 Esports and Sports Economy Roundtable at the Africa Station Doom in L’lle-Saint-Denis, Paris.

The roundtable, themed ‘Exploring New Frontiers and Business Opportunities in Sports,’ was led by Lekan Fatodu, Director General of the Lagos State Sports Commission.

Fatodu highlighted Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s commitment to sports development and Lagos’s ambitions for sports excellence and international collaboration.

The event attracted a diverse group of stakeholders, including government officials, investors, and international sports representatives, and focused on the burgeoning field of esports.

The roundtable not only enhanced Lagos’s global sports profile but also paved the way for economic growth through sports.

The event underscored Lagos’s strategic positioning in the global sports industry, with participants expressing optimism about the city’s future role in leading sports innovations and development.
