NUPRC set to amend domestic crude supply regulations

AGS NEWS – The Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) has announced plans to amend the Domestic Crude Supply Obligations Regulations 2023.

This was disclosed in a notice signed by NUPRC Chief Executive, Gbenga Komolafe, on Thursday.

In line with Section 216 (1) of the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA) 2021, which mandates stakeholder consultation before finalizing any regulations, the commission has urged stakeholders to download and review the proposed changes available on their website.

Submissions must follow a specified format and be sent to the Head of Regulations and Statutory Compliance Unit, Kingston Chikwendu, by the stated deadline.

This announcement comes amid reports of alleged noncompliance by crude producers with the current Domestic Crude Supply Obligations regulations.
