AGS NEWS – A Virginia man, Frank Lucio Carillo, appeared in federal court on Monday, facing charges for making death threats against Vice President Kamala Harris.

Court records reveal Carillo issued multiple threats against Harris, President Joe Biden, FBI Director Christopher Wray, several Arizona officials, and others on the right-wing social media platform Gettr.

Following a subpoena, the FBI uncovered 4,359 posts from Carillo targeting various public officials, including Harris. In several posts, Carillo allegedly threatened to harm Harris, expressing graphic and violent intentions. One post stated, “I will cut your eyes out,” and included derogatory language and wishes for her to suffer a “slow agonizing death.”

The court records cite numerous similar posts, including an Islamophobic comment in 2023, urging people to “go out with your guns and kill all Muslims.”

When FBI agents visited Carillo’s home regarding the social media posts, Carillo acknowledged his actions, saying, “I posted it,” and remarked, “I guess I’m gonna need a lawyer.”

Federal agents confiscated two firearms from Carillo’s home: a pistol bought in 2023 and a rifle purchased this year.
