How I fathered 100 biological children despite being unmarried — Telegram CEO, Durov

AGS NEWS – Pavel Durov, founder and CEO of Telegram Messenger, revealed he has 100 biological children worldwide despite being unmarried. The 39-year-old shared this through his channel on Monday evening, July 29.

Durov, who prefers to remain single, explained that 15 years ago, a friend asked him to donate sperm due to fertility issues.

This led him to help over 12 families globally. Describing his sperm as “high-quality donor material,” he said he was initially approached by a clinic that encouraged him to donate more to help other couples.

He stated, “I was just told that I have over 100 biological kids. Fifteen years ago, a friend asked me to donate sperm so he and his wife could have a baby.

The clinic needed ‘high-quality donor material,’ so I agreed. Now, my donations have helped over a hundred couples in 12 countries.”

Durov mentioned he might open-source his DNA to allow his biological children to find him, despite potential risks. He expressed pride in his donations, noting the global shortage of healthy sperm.

He encouraged healthy men to donate sperm to help families struggling to have children.

Durov, a Russian-born Emirati entrepreneur, was recognized as the richest expat in the UAE by Forbes in 2022 and named the most powerful entrepreneur in Dubai by Arabian Business in February 2023.
