AGS NEWS – President Bola Tinubu’s N6.2 trillion 2024 supplementary budget, submitted to the National Assembly on Wednesday, focuses on critical infrastructure, including education, healthcare, and public welfare, according to Philip Agbese, the Deputy Spokesman of the House of Representatives.
In an interview on Friday, Agbese assured that the parliament would rigorously review the supplementary budget.
He stated, “The 2024 supplementary budget of ₦6.2tn aims to fund critical infrastructure projects, education, healthcare, and public welfare initiatives. It includes ₦3.2tn for infrastructure projects and ₦3tn for recurrent expenditure.”

Representing the Ado/Ogbadigbo/Okokwu Federal Constituency of Benue State, Agbese emphasized the House’s commitment to transparency and accountability.
The legislative body plans to engage with stakeholders, conduct public hearings, and scrutinize the budget proposal to ensure it benefits Nigerians.
Agbese also acknowledged the efforts of the Chairman of the House Committee on Appropriations, Abubakar Bichi, praising his dedication to transparency and his leadership in the budget review process.
