Following the win, James rallied the team, emphasizing their potential despite only having been together for four days.

“We know we have room to improve, especially with our offensive execution and turnovers,” James remarked. “But it all starts with our defense. If we defend well, we give ourselves a great chance every game.”

Curry echoed James’ sentiments on defense being crucial for their Olympic campaign.

“We can iron out the offensive details, but our commitment to defense will be key,” Curry affirmed.

Reflecting on teaming up with Curry, James expressed enjoyment in playing alongside the Golden State star.

“We’re two guys who simply love the game of basketball,” James shared. “It’s enjoyable. We play at a high level but more importantly, we play the right way.”
