AGS NEWS – The Governor of Niger State, Mohammed Bago, announced a bonus of N200,000 for each corps member in the Batch B stream posted to the state.
This declaration was made on Tuesday, July 2, during the swearing-in ceremony of the 2024 Batch B Stream I corps members at the NYSC orientation camp in Paiko, Niger State.
The governor also revealed that the state government will allocate N5 billion to construct a permanent orientation camp for the National Youth Service Corps in the state.
Governor Bago stated, “All corps members serving in Niger State today are entitled to a N200,000 bonus from Niger farms. We will credit your accounts with N200,000 each.

We also plan to build a brand new NYSC camp, and Niger State is committing N5 billion for this project.”
A statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Bologi Ibrahim, further mentioned that the governor promised automatic employment for corps members in the medical field after completing their service.
The governor also assured the corps members of their security and well-being and encouraged them to join his agricultural revolution, with support available from Niger Foods Limited.
A total of 1,301 corps members have been posted to the state under the 2024 NYSC Batch B Stream I Orientation Course.
