AGS NEWS – An unidentified soldier has allegedly stabbed a mechanic to death in the Kugbo area of the Federal Capital Territory.
The incident occurred when the soldier, accompanied by two others, went to retrieve his car from the mechanic, leading to a heated argument.
During the altercation, the soldier reportedly drew a knife and stabbed the mechanic, Chukwudi, in the neck.

A commercial driver in the area, who requested anonymity, stated that after the stabbing, the soldier fled the scene. In retaliation, an angry mob set the soldier’s car on fire.
The FCT police spokesperson, Josephine Adeh, confirmed that one person has been arrested in connection with the incident and that normalcy has been restored to the area.
She also mentioned that the mechanic’s body has been taken to the Federal Medical Centre in Maraba and that an investigation is underway.
In a related incident from July 2019, the Edo State Police Command arrested Lance Corporal Mose Oguche for allegedly stabbing a driver to death in Okene, Kogi State.

Oguche was apprehended with the help of local community members despite an attempt by fellow soldiers to free him.
The Commissioner of Police in Edo State, Mohammed DanMalam, ordered Oguche’s transfer to the state command headquarters in Benin.
