AGS NEWS – An elderly pedestrian was decapitated in Brooklyn after being hit by a city Department of Transportation vehicle, according to police sources.

The 86-year-old man was crossing the street at around 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 12, when the truck struck him at Dahlgren Place in Bay Ridge, NYPD reported.

The collision was so severe that the victim’s head was severed from his body.

Disturbing photos show police covering the remains with a single sheet, while the yellow DOT truck with a crane is visible in the background.

The man’s body was found several yards away in the crosswalk.

The 31-year-old truck driver stayed at the scene, and no arrests have been made. The investigation is ongoing.
