Ibadan electricity sacks MD Achife, names Francis Agoha as replacement

AGS NEWS – The Board of Directors of the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) has terminated the appointment of Mr. Kingsley Achife as Managing Director.

His contract was not renewed, and Engineer Francis Agoha has been appointed as Acting Managing Director, effective May 31.

This decision was communicated in an internal memo, which praised Achife for his contributions and laid the groundwork for the company’s ongoing improvements.

The board expressed confidence in Agoha’s leadership for a smooth transition and commitment to delivering reliable electricity services.

While the board did not specify the reasons for Achife’s dismissal, it may be related to performance complaints.
