AGS NEWS – Globacom has been awarded the 2023 Champions Newspapers Telecommunication Company of The Year.

According to a statement, Globacom received the award at the annual ceremony organized by Champion Newspapers Limited in Lagos.

The statement highlighted, “The honor reinforces Globacom’s position as Nigeria’s most innovative telecoms operator, dedicated to providing affordable communication tools that transform lives and businesses.”

During her welcome address, Dr. Nwadiuto Iheakanwa, Managing Director of Champion Newspapers, explained the purpose of the awards ceremony.

She stated, “Our goal is to recognize excellence and hard work, encouraging us to strive for greater achievements. For Nigeria to progress, we need more individuals and institutions like those we honor tonight, as they are essential to our nation’s growth.”

Mr. Kelvin Egerue, Managing Editor of Champion, commended Globacom for its efforts in making telecommunications services affordable for Nigerians.
