AGS NEWS – Migrant graduates using the UK’s Graduate Route will soon be required to take annual English tests, as part of a new government initiative to retain only the most qualified individuals.
The Cabinet is expected to approve these changes to the scheme, which currently allows international students to work in the UK for two years post-graduation.

The new policy will also impact universities and colleges with high dropout rates, stripping them of the ability to recruit international students.
The Home Office will focus on recruiting agents who mislead foreign students into abandoning their studies for low-paying jobs, often below minimum wage.
Government sources indicate that the revised Graduate Route is part of a broader strategy to tighten immigration regulations.
