AGS NEWS – Bayer Leverkusen made history on Saturday by becoming the first team to complete a Bundesliga season unbeaten, defeating Augsburg 2-1.
Early goals from Victor Boniface and Robert Andrich in the 12th and 17th minutes secured the victory, while Augsburg’s Met Komur scored in the 62nd minute.
The BayArena was filled with celebration following the season’s final game.

The club tweeted, “0 Bundesliga Defeats. Full Time: WE END THE BUNDESLIGA SEASON UNBEATEN! WE ARE BUNDESLIGA CHAMPIONS! WE DID IT.”
Last month, Leverkusen claimed the Bundesliga title for the first time in their 120-year history with a 5-0 win over Werder Bremen, ending Bayern Munich’s 11-year dominance.
Under coach Xabi Alonso, Leverkusen’s unbeaten run now stands at 43 games, with their first title igniting hopes for a treble and shedding their ‘Neverkusen’ nickname.
