AGS NEWS – Simon Cletus, a Senior Secondary School I student from Palm Ville College in Lagos, has been chosen as the captain of the Golden Eaglets for the WAFU B U-17 Championship in Ghana.

Cletus, who plays for the academy team Mavlon FC in Lagos, will lead the team in Group B against Burkina Faso, Niger, and Benin.

The defending champions, coached by Manu Garba, will kick off their title defense against Burkina Faso at the University Stadium in Accra on Thursday.

The top two teams in the tournament will earn a spot in the Africa U-17 Cup of Nations.
