AGS NEWS – Leaders from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the South-West have announced their intention to win back Ondo State in the upcoming November 2024 gubernatorial election.
The declaration was made during a gathering in Ibadan, Oyo State, on Monday, where prominent figures including Governor Seyi Makinde, former Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola, former Governor Olusegun Mimiko, former PDP governorship candidate Eyitayo Jegede, and former Deputy National Chairman Olabode George were present.

Governor Makinde, speaking to reporters after the meeting, expressed confidence in the PDP’s ability to wrestle control of Ondo State from the All Progressives Congress (APC).
He emphasized the unity within the party and its collaboration with gubernatorial candidate Agboola Ajayi and other parties to ensure a strong showing at the polls.
Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State echoed Makinde’s sentiments, stating that the South-West PDP had gathered to discuss strategies for the Ondo State election and to promote reconciliation within the party.

Ajayi, the PDP gubernatorial candidate, expressed gratitude to Governor Makinde, Governor Adeleke, and other PDP leaders for their support leading up to the election.
