AGS NEWS – Plateau University, Bokkos, has halted ongoing exams following the tragic killing of a second-year student. The registrar, Yakubu Ayuba, made this announcement in Jos, the state capital, on Friday.
Gunmen attacked the nearby community of Chikam on Thursday night, resulting in the death of the student, identified as Dading Jordan.

The university has declared a two-day mourning period to honor the deceased student. Ayuba conveyed the condolences of the Vice-Chancellor and management to the student’s family and the university community.
In response to the incident, all exams scheduled for Friday and Saturday have been suspended.
The management urges students to remain calm and cooperative while calling on security agencies to enhance security around the university premises for the safety of staff and students.
