AGS NEWS – Former U.S. President Donald Trump’s first day in court for his hush-money case made headlines as reports surfaced of him allegedly dozing off during proceedings.
The trial, which marks the first of three criminal trials he faces, centers around allegations of hush money payments made to adult film star Stormy Daniels to keep quiet about an affair she claims to have had with Trump in the early 2000s.

As the courtroom drama unfolded on Monday, April, 15, New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman, providing live updates, claimed on CNN that Trump appeared to be sleeping during the proceedings.
She described how his head repeatedly dropped and his jaw went slack several times, a claim corroborated by other reporters present.
However, Trump was anything but drowsy when he arrived at court, displaying his characteristic vigor and fired-up demeanor while speaking to reporters.
He denounced the trial as an assault on the country and reiterated his stance that it was a witch hunt.
The trial revolves around 34 counts of falsifying business records, categorized as a felony in New York.

Details of the infamous “Access Hollywood” tape and allegations of another affair with ex-Playboy model Karen McDougal are expected to be read in court. Additionally, Trump’s former lawyer, Michael Cohen, is slated to testify.
The jury selection process is anticipated to be lengthy, with thousands of Manhattanites summoned to participate.
The court seeks to empanel 12 jurors and 6 alternates who can provide fair and impartial judgment.
