AGS NEWS – The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has apprehended Inyangake James Peter, aged 40, for the murder of his 70-year-old mother, Mma-Offiong James Peter, in Etim Ekpo Local Government Area.

The Command’s spokesperson, CPS Odiko Macdon, disclosed this in a statement on April 15, 2024, expressing concern over cases of family members killing their relatives.

According to Macdon, the suspect confessed to the crime, claiming he obeyed a voice instructing him to kill his mother.

Inyangake James Peter has been transferred to the State CID for further investigation, and he will face charges in court upon completion of the inquiry.
