AGS NEWS – Two suspected robbers were recently apprehended at a hotel along AIT Road in Lagos State’s Agbado area.

The incident unfolded on Monday afternoon, as per information obtained by PUNCH Online.

According to an unnamed police source, the arrest followed a distress call reporting a robbery at the hotel.

Officers from the Agbado Division, led by the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), managed to capture two suspects.

Along with the arrests, a cache of weapons was seized, including four homemade guns, two vehicles (a Toyota Corolla and a Toyota Camry), and various ammunition.

The police source disclosed that the preliminary investigation indicated a larger gang of nine armed robbers, who had injured two individuals prior to the police’s intervention.

The injured victims are currently receiving medical attention at a local hospital.

Benjamin Hundeyin, the State Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed the incident, stating that efforts are underway to track down the remaining members of the gang.

The Lagos State Police Command had also apprehended eight suspected armed robbers listed as wanted.
